Black market of food fertilizer in Murtiya

January 25, Sarlahi, Former Murtiya VDC which is Barhathwa Municipality Ward No.- 9. currently supplying government subsidized food fertilizer urea, DAP etc . A local farmer has informed us that the manure is being distributed to his people instead of the real farmer.

Fertilizers for the farmers of Barhathwa-9 are being smuggled to Haripur Municipality. A farmer has complained that he returned empty-handed to a farmer saying that he did not buy other goods from my shop.

There is no transparency in the amount of government subsidized seeds, fertilizers, etc., and the real farmers are compelled to buy seeds and fertilizers from the market at exorbitant prices every year. Even the ward chairperson has remained silent in this regard.
