JSP’s Mahantha and Upendra’s side told the Election Commission, “Let us separate.”

Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) presidents Mahanta Thakur and Upendra Yadav have urged the Election Commission to separate them.

Thakur and Yadav have been at loggerheads for a long time. They took action against each other and sent information to the commission.

The commission had summoned the leaders of both the parties for discussion today.
Leader of Thakur’s party Anil Jha, who participated in the discussion, said that they had signed the agreement as they did not see the possibility of joining together.

“It simply came to our notice then. “We have come to sign the minutes to separate us,” Jha told reporters at the commission premises. “It has been said that Upendraji cannot go together.”
According to Jha, the commission had signed the minutes for the leaders of both the parties participating in today’s discussion.

“We have already signed the minutes to go as per the rules as we could not agree,” he said. Chairman Thakur’s side had joined Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s government. The ministers were dismissed within 19 days.

Similarly, another president, Yadav, was in favor of not joining the Oli government. Yadav’s party has signed Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba to become the Prime Minister.

“It simply came to our notice then. “We have come to sign the minutes to separate us,” Jha told reporters at the commission premises. “It has been said that Upendraji cannot go together.”
