Thirty-one people, including 29 men and two women, donated blood at a blood donation camp organized by the Lions Club of Sarlahi Barhathwa at the World Peace Hall in Barhathwa Municipality-6. The collected blood was sent to Nepal Red Cross Society Blood Transfusion Center, Birgunj, Parsa, said Amarendra Kumar Singh, president of the organizing club, to Nepal Manthan.

According to Singh, the blood donation camp was organized in view of the growing shortage of blood due to corona virus infection.

The blood donation camp has been completed with the help of Mithila Adarsh Youth Club and Akash Deep Youth Club in Barhathwa.

A team of five health workers led by Saurabhraj Pandey had come from the Blood Transfusion Center in Birgunj to conduct the blood donation camp.

Social workers, youths, traders, employees and armed police donated blood to the camp.
